Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across the local area. The HLTA will cover whole-class and deliver planned lessons, and lead small-group interventions.

Ideal candidates will hold HLTA qualification or equivalent, recent UK primary experience, strong curriculum knowledge, and the ability to work independently with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience.
• Recent experience within a UK primary school.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Confident classroom management.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing whole-class cover when required.
• Delivering planned lessons and learning activities.
• Leading 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Supporting teachers with planning and classroom organisation.
• Working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 depending on experience.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and school leadership.
