Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a three-form entry primary school in Stanmore. You will support teaching and learning, deliver lessons when needed, and lead targeted interventions to help pupils progress.

The role also involves collaboration with teachers and senior leaders, with a clear focus on inclusion and pupil outcomes. Holders of HLTA status or equivalent qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualifications and experience
• Experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school
• Ability to lead whole-class learning across year groups
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and a positive attitude
• High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
• Works well in a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in the absence of the class teacher
• Provide high-quality interventions to support pupil progress
• Collaborate with teachers to plan, prepare and evaluate activities
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations
• Support pupils with diverse learning needs and inclusive practices
• Contribute to school events and enrichment activities
