Aspire People are recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering varied settings and year groups.

The role involves leading lessons, classroom management, and SEN support, with opportunities to deliver interventions in core subjects and contribute to pupil progress within a supportive team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned lessons and learning activities
  • Provide whole-class, 1:1, and small-group support
  • Covering classes in the absence of the class teacher
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Delivering interventions in Maths, English, phonics, and other curriculum areas
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
  • Supporting assessment and pupil progress
  • Working closely with class teachers, senior leaders, and SENCOs

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas.


This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who is comfortable leading learning, supporting classroom management, and working across different year groups.


The Role


  • Delivering planned lessons and learning activities

  • Providing whole-class, 1:1, and small-group support

  • Covering classes in the absence of the class teacher

  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs

  • Delivering interventions in Maths, English, phonics, and other curriculum areas

  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations

  • Supporting assessment and pupil progress

  • Working closely with class teachers, senior leaders, and SENCOs

  • Preparing resources and supporting wider school activities


The Ideal Candidate


  • Holds a relevant HLTA, Level 4, or equivalent qualification, or has strong relevant experience

  • Has previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar role

  • Confident leading lessons and managing a classroom

  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider team

  • Flexible and confident working across different year groups

  • Committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
