TeacherActive Limited is working with several mainstream secondary schools in Leeds to appoint an enthusiastic History Teacher for day-to-day or long-term positions with an immediate start.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging History lessons, support GCSE and A Level exam preparation, and help learners develop essay writing, source analysis and examination techniques in a supportive classroom setting.

Qualifications

• QTS with History specialism.
• Experience teaching History in a secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of GCSE and A Level History curriculum.
• Experience supporting students with examination preparation and targeted interventions.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with several mainstream secondary schools based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a History Teacher. The schools provide education to students across Key Stage 3 / KS3, Key Stage 4 / KS4 and Key Stage 5 / KS5, with a focus on developing historical knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills.

The schools are looking to take on an enthusiastic History Teacher for day-to-day or long-term opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful History Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging History lessons, supporting students with GCSE and A Level exam preparation, and helping learners develop their essay writing, source analysis and examination techniques.

The successful History Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with a History specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)

• Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting

• Strong knowledge of the GCSE and A Level History curriculum

• Experience supporting students with examination preparation and targeted interventions

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
