Ainscough Crane Hire in Nottingham is offering an Apprentice Hire Desk Controller role. This apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with a formal programme to learn how our hire desk operates and supports customers.

You'll work with the Depot Manager and team, develop skills in quoting, booking hires, recording details, and building relationships with customers and suppliers while gaining practical experience.

Qualifications

• No prior crane hire experience required; attitude and willingness to learn matter.
• GCSEs in Maths and English or willingness to achieve Functional Skills.
• Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Speak with customers by phone and email to understand requirements and provide professional service.
• Learn about cranes, services and hire processes.
• Support the team in turning hire enquiries into confirmed orders.
• Capture customer, job and site information accurately.
• Assist with quotations, order confirmations and hire documentation.
• Keep customer and hire records accurate and up to date.
• Build relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
• Support follow-ups and maintain high service standards.
• Check information for invoice accuracy and raise discrepancies.
• Complete apprenticeship training and apply learning day-to-day.
