Job summary

Speedy Hire in Milton Keynes is seeking a Hire Controller to join our depot operations. You will coordinate the end-to-end hire process, from taking orders to delivery and collection, while liaising with stock teams, drivers, and engineers to meet customer needs.

The role is desk-based, with Mon–Fri 07:30–17:00 (42 hours). We offer 26 days holiday, pension, life assurance, and career development in a company committed to work-life balance and ESG initiatives.

Qualifications

Strong organisational skills.
Strong communication skills both verbally & written.
Adaptability.
Commitment to learn and develop.
Driving license.
Previous experience working within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role.
Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the end-to-end hire process from order to delivery and collection.
Liaise with depot teams to ensure customer requirements are met and that service is seamless.
Maintain strong relationships with customers and drive sales and service excellence.
