Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc is seeking a Hire Controller for our London depot on Old Kent Road. The role revolves around coordinating the full hire process from order intake through delivery and collection, ensuring customer needs are met with efficient service.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, a drive to learn, and a valid driving license. Prior hire industry or related sales/operational experience is preferred, with a commitment to ESG initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Based in the depot, the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from order to delivery and collection, liaising with all depot parts.
• Maintains strong customer service, building relationships to meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Desk-based role with regular liaison to stock teams, drivers and engineers to minimise delays and ensure equipment is readily available.
