Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Hire Controller in Birmingham to deliver top-level customer service, manage orders end-to-end, and maximise upselling opportunities. You will engage customers via phone, email, and website requests, owning the customer journey and ensuring accurate documentation.

The role suits individuals from customer service, with industry experience preferred, who want to see the impact of their work in a busy, hands-on operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Customer Service role, handling inquiries and transactions.
• Experience in hire or construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to develop and utilise product knowledge across the Sunbelt Rentals range.
• Exceptional communication skills including negotiation and influencing.
• Ability to use judgement and initiative in line with policies and pricing.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative approach with colleagues and customers.
• Flexible, able to manage a varied, fast-paced operational day.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of processes and service levels.
• Good level of computer literacy in MS Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class service by managing an order from enquiry to post-hire feedback.
• Build relationships with customers and upsell where appropriate.
• Handle telephone, email, and website requests and ensure accurate data entry.
