Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in the UK is seeking a Hire Controller to join our depot-based Customer Service team. You will be the first point of contact, greeting customers and guiding orders from enquiry to post-hire feedback, using product knowledge to maximise upselling and ensure outstanding service.

In this role you’ll communicate with customers face-to-face, on the telephone, via email and website requests, building lasting relationships with regular customers in a busy, highly operational environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Customer Service role, preferably handling in-bound order/sales enquiries.
• Exceptional communication skills including negotiating and influencing.
• Comfortable using own judgment and initiative to meet policy and pricing structures.
• An effective team member with collaborative approach and high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers visiting the depot, via face to face, phone, email and website requests.
• Manage orders from enquiry to post-hire feedback, owning the customer journey.
• Build relationships with regular customers and maximise upselling opportunities.
• Deliver best-in-class service in a fast-paced, operational environment.
