Job summary

SER Limited in St Helens is seeking a Hire Controller to join our plant hire team. You will manage hires, coordinate with operations, handle customer inquiries by phone and email, and maintain accurate records to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The role offers a competitive £32,000–£34,000 basic salary, a 40-hour week, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension scheme and life insurance, with opportunities for progression within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar hire/controller role or plant hire/construction preferred.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with administrative tasks and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Answering customer inquiries via phone and email.
• Processing hires, scheduling deliveries and collections.
• Updating and maintaining hire/return records.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure equipment availability.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support the team with general admin tasks.
