Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking an experienced Hire Controller for a busy plant and tool hire operation in Acton. The role involves handling hire enquiries, bookings and off-hires, processing contracts and orders, and coordinating deliveries and collections.

You will liaise with workshop and transport teams, monitor fleet availability, maximise hire opportunities and deliver excellent customer service, including assisting with loading/unloading of equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in plant/tool hire or equipment rental.
• Previous hire desk / hire controller experience.
• Syrinx experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of hire processes, transport and fleet scheduling.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Full UK Category B driving licence essential.
• Physically fit and able to load/unload equipment.
• Polish or Ukrainian language skills advantageous.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience within plant hire, tool hire or equipment rental
• Previous hire desk/hire controller experience
• Syrinx experience highly desirable
• Good knowledge of the hire process, transport and fleet scheduling
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• Full UK Category B manual driving licence essential
• Physically fit and comfortable assisting with loading/unloading
• Polish or Ukrainian language skills advantageous

Salary & Benefits

• £46,000+ per year
• Monday-Friday, 6am-5pm
• Minimum 2 Saturdays per month, 6am-1pm
• Established plant/tool hire operation
