Job summary

Hampshire County Council is recruiting a Highway Support Officer to join the Highways Operation Centre in Winchester, supporting customer enquiries and enabling actions to be taken in Licensing and Encroachments. The role focuses on effective communication with residents and stakeholders while balancing operational needs.

You will process enquiries, issue licences, and work with technical staff to deliver outcomes with strong emphasis on customer service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience handling customer enquiries in a public sector setting.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders clearly and professionally.
• Proven ability to work with IT systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Hampshire Highways Service and ensure enquiries are resolved efficiently.
• Handle licences and encroachments processing and correspondence.
