Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Community Liaison Officer to build positive relationships between the Council, residents and stakeholders within the highways service. You will represent the Council at meetings, log and resolve enquiries, and help ensure the local community’s needs are reflected in highway works.

You will support the minor works programme, monitor progress with contractors, keep financial records and contribute to service improvements in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Ability to engage with residents, parish councils and community groups.
• Understanding of highways management and customer-focused service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships between the Council, communities and stakeholders.
• Represent the Council at meetings and events and log/respond to enquiries.
• Support the minor works programme, monitor progress with contractors and log defects.
• Maintain financial records and monitor budgets for projects.
