Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited seeks a Highways Quantity Surveyor to provide specialist commercial and contractual support for highway and transportation capital projects in Coventry. You will ensure robust financial management and cost control to deliver schemes on approved budgets and timescales.

The role requires significant experience in highways/transport projects, proven track record with NEC contracts, and strong cost planning, forecasting, and reporting abilities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in highways, transportation, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record managing commercial and contractual matters on publicly funded capital programmes.
• Experience in cost planning, budget management, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Strong experience administering NEC contracts, including evaluation of compensation events and change control.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial and contractual aspects of highway and transportation infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections for capital projects.
• Monitor project expenditure and provide regular financial reporting to project teams and senior stakeholders.
• Assess, validate, and certify contractor applications for payment in accordance with contract requirements.
• Administer and manage NEC and other relevant engineering contracts.
