Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with experience in highways maintenance and NEC4 Term Service Contract to join our Oxfordshire team. You will be a key part of large-scale highway maintenance and infrastructure schemes, responsible for calculating and monitoring project costs, and providing cost and quality assurance.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in Highways Maintenance and NEC4 Term Service Contract to join a client in Oxfordshire. You will be a key part of the team involved in a large scale highway maintenance and infrastructure schemes and your main duties include calculating and monitoring project costs, providing cost and quality assurance, performing risk and value management as well as providing initial costings and Bills of Quantities.

This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £50 - £55 per hour - negotiable for the right candidate and dependant on experience. Flexible working arrangements and working from home opportunities are available.

Working within the Highways team your main duties include:

• Calculating and monitoring project costs associated with highway maintenance and construction
• Ensuring the highest standards of cost control, cost monitoring and cost management are carried out
• Providing cost and quality assurance as well as initial costings/estimates and Bills of Quantities
• Performing risk and value management duties and identifying commercial risks

Previous experience in Highways and NEC4 is essential for this role. Carrington West are also looking for Project Managers and Engineers with similar backgrounds across the South of UK - please get in touch to find out more.
