Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Regulations Technician to support the Team Leader in managing activities affecting the highway network. You will process licences for third-party works and assist with coordination of highway events and developments.

You will investigate potential breaches, contribute to enforcement, and respond to customer enquiries, FOI requests, and stakeholder communications, ensuring public safety and network efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor permits and licences for third-party works, skips, scaffolding and hoardings.
• Assist with coordination of events, highway works and development projects.
• Investigate potential breaches of regulations and contribute to enforcement actions.
• Respond to customer enquiries, complaints and FOI requests.
• Engage with customers, elected members, managers and external stakeholders as needed.
