Job summary

ITS (Cheltenham) Ltd seeks an experienced Permitting & Network Coordinator to join our highways and infrastructure team. You will coordinate highway permits, notices and network activity, working closely with Highway Authorities, Local Authorities, contractors and utilities to ensure safe and compliant delivery of works.

The role requires knowledge of NRSWA, permit schemes and traffic management, plus strong organisation, stakeholder management and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways, street works or network coordination.
• Understanding of highway permitting and noticing processes.
• Experience dealing with Highway Authorities or Local Authorities.
• Understanding of NRSWA, Permit Schemes and highway network management.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate highway permits, notices, network activity and traffic management with authorities, utilities and delivery teams.
• Submit permit and noticing applications within required timescales and monitor progress.
• Process variations, extensions and cancellations and resolve queries or objections.
• Ensure works comply with permit conditions, NRSWA requirements and highway legislation.
• Coordinate works against the forward network programme and identify potential delays.
• Liaise with authorities, utilities and contractors to resolve conflicts and coordinate traffic management requirements.
• Provide operational teams with accurate permit information and monitor dates and closures.
• Maintain records and provide permit/network performance reporting.
• Manage urgent and emergency works notifications when required.
