Job summary

Balfour Beatty Living Places is seeking a practical Highways Maintenance Operative to support maintenance across Warwickshire and Solihull, based from Budbrooke. You will perform hands-on highway construction and repairs, work in a team, and help deliver safe, high-quality services with flexibility for shift patterns and emergency/winter duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in highway construction and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work as part of a team in changing conditions.
• Commitment to safety and quality work.
• Experience with emergency response and winter services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out highway construction and maintenance safely and to the required quality standards.
• Complete carriageway pothole and patch repairs.
• Undertake footway reconstruction, kerbing, block laying and slabbing.
• Install and repair bollards, fencing, drainage and street ironworks.
• Carry out concreting and general highways civils works.
• Excavate holes and trenches safely and support traffic management operations.
