Job summary

Balfour Beatty Living Places is seeking a Highways Operative in Lincolnshire to maintain and improve local highways. You will perform drainage, footway improvements, asphalt works, and related tasks within a safety-first culture.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, teamwork, and a flexible approach to hours, including potential overtime. Desirable qualifications include highway maintenance and related accreditations.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including overtime and shift work when required.
• Desirable: highway maintenance, groundworks experience; NRSWA/CSCS/EX tasks beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a broad range of highway maintenance activities safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Undertaking drainage works, kerb laying, footway improvements, vegetation clearance and asphalt repairs.
• Completing excavation and trenching works with specialist equipment when required.
• Operating and maintaining plant, tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitoring and organising materials and resources to support project delivery.
