Balfour Beatty Living Places is looking for a Highways Operative to join the Horncastle team in Lincolnshire. You will perform a range of highway maintenance tasks, from drainage and footway work to asphalt repairs, while prioritising safety and quality.

You will support winter and emergency responses and work closely with colleagues, customers and stakeholders. The role requires a full UK driving licence, a strong safety mindset and the ability to work as part of a team.

• Full UK driving licence is required.

• Flexible approach to working hours, including overtime and shift work when required.

Responsabilités

• Carry out a broad range of highway maintenance activities safely and to a high standard.
• Undertake drainage works, kerb laying, footway improvements, vegetation clearance and asphalt repairs.
• Complete excavation and trenching works using specialist equipment as required.
• Work within Balfour Beatty's Zero Harm culture; prioritise health and safety at all times.
• Report close calls, good practices and safety observations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company procedures and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain plant, tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor and organise materials and resources to support project delivery.
• Follow work programmes and complete tasks right first time.
• Support winter maintenance and emergency response activities, including out-of-hours work when required.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
• Act as a professional ambassador for Balfour Beatty at all times.
