Job summary

Sweco is recruiting an Engineer to join the Highways team in Leeds. The role offers flexible working with a minimum of three days in the office and a chance to contribute to landmark highway projects across local and national clients.

You will design road geometry, drainage and pavement, producing drawings, reports and calculations, while collaborating with other design disciplines to deliver safe, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Highway Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in planning and delivering highway projects or work packages on multi-disciplinary schemes.
• Experience in highway geometry design to DMRB standards using Bentley/OpenRoads or Civils 3D.

Responsibilities

• Undertake highway design elements including geometry, drainage, pavement, road restraint systems, traffic signs and road markings.
• Produce drawings, specifications, schedules, reports and calculations to support project solutions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to meet client needs and deadlines.
• Ensure work complies with IMS and H&S requirements.
• Develop professional skills through in-house training and industry activities.
