Job summary

SCP Infrastructure & Design, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead highways and drainage designs from Leeds. The role emphasizes technical delivery, mentoring, and collaboration with project managers and clients on nationally significant schemes. Hybrid working is offered with a 35-hour week.

Ideal candidates will be experienced across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, with strong design software skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways and drainage design across multiple sectors.
• Ability to lead technical delivery and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Leading the technical delivery of highways and drainage designs on medium to large projects
• Producing and checking drawings, calculations, and specifications to a high standard
• Providing day-to-day technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technicians
• Coordinating design inputs and managing workloads to meet programme deadlines
• Reviewing outputs to ensure compliance with standards, legislation, and best practice
• Supporting client engagement and contributing to design discussions and solutions
• Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and championing quality across the team
