Job summary
Sweco UK Ltd is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering team in Leeds. The role offers flexible, hybrid working with a minimum of three days per week in the office and site as required.
You will deliver geotechnical design, investigations, reporting, and construction support across UK projects in highways, water, energy and development sectors. You will work with an experienced team on high-profile projects, contribute to proposals, and support junior engineers
Qualifications
- Experience in geotechnical consultancy in the UK.
- Proven ability to deliver geotechnical projects across stages, from feasibility to construction support.
- Knowledge of ground investigations, reporting and design calculations.
- Ability to use MS Project, Excel and Word for project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality geotechnical design outputs, calculations, drawings and reports.
- Support Project Manager with scope, milestones and quality assurance.
- Provide construction supervision and site support as needed.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.
- Prepare technical proposals and assist tender submissions.
