Sweco UK Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead highway design and supervision across major projects, including urban and strategic schemes. You’ll work within our Highways team on inception through to construction, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• IEng or equivalent qualifications or working towards.
• Experience leading highways teams and developing technical staff.
• Experience with geometry design per DMRB / LTn 1/20 and Civils 3D.
• Knowledge of highway regulations and guidance (Manual for Streets, DMRB, TSRGD, MCHW, Traffic Signs Manuals).
• Strong communication skills and ability to present design options to stakeholders.
• Desire to learn, progress and challenge yourself.

Responsabilités

• Lead significant elements of the conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of highways work; e.g. drawings, specifications, reports and calculations to achieve the optimum solution.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions.
• Ensuring deliverables are carried out within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide expert advice.
• Preparation and review of technical reports, feasibility studies, and design documentation.
• Driving technical excellence.
