Job summary

Sweco, Europe’s leading design, engineering, environment and regulatory consultancy, is recruiting a Senior Engineer to join our Highways team in Leeds. You’ll work across project stages from inception to handover, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.

You’ll contribute to safety, sustainability and technical excellence while delivering landmark highway projects with national and regional impact. Flexible hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• IEng or working towards professional registration.
• Proven ability to lead highways projects and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead significant elements of conceptual, preliminary and detailed highways design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure deliverables meet agreed timescales and budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice.
• Prepare and review technical reports and feasibility studies.
• Drive technical excellence.
