Qualifications

Job description
Overview

Fixed-term contract (12 months – start date: 19/01/2026). 37.5 hours per week. We have an opportunity to join a rewarding role working for Barts Health, the largest NHS Trust in England, at the St Bartholomew’s site. The role involves working closely with other service pathways within St Bartholomew’s and across sites to deliver a consistent, high level of service.

Responsibilities
  • Alongside the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, deliver a high-quality physiotherapy service within Barts Heart Centre.
  • Support cardiovascular pathways including Level 2 and 3 Critical Care Units, Cardiology (including the busiest heart attack centre in Europe and a commissioned VV-ECMO service), and Cardiothoracics with a complex Aorto-vascular pathway and congenital heart service.
  • Contribute to Thoracic surgery pathways including robotic surgery and ERAS pathways.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years acute care experience within the NHS.
  • Ideally experience with cardiothoracic and/or critically ill patients.
  • Strong clinical skills with a commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care.
