Job summary

Horrington Primary School is seeking an HLTA to work with teachers, teaching assistants, leadership and other staff to help every pupil reach their potential.

The role involves regular PPA cover, covering absences and supporting the school’s inclusive learning environment, including emotional and developmental needs. You will collaborate with hard-working teams to ensure excellent learning experiences for all children.

Qualifications

• HLTA experience or equivalent
• Able to support class learning across year groups
• Comfortable covering teacher absence and leadership release time
• Strong communication with parents and carers

Job description

We are looking for an HLTA who has the experience, motivation and skillset to work with our wonderful teachers, teaching assistants, leadership team and other stakeholders to ensure that every pupil is achieving their full potential. This position would suit a positive, energetic, proactive team-player who is able to be flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out regular PPA cover teaching for teachers
• Supporting classes by covering teacher absence and leadership release time across the school
  
• Meeting the academic, developmental and emotional needs of children
• Creating a safe and stimulating environment to promote learning and inclusion for all children
  
• Building and maintaining relationships with parents and carers and other childcare professionals/agencies
