Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is working with a mainstream Primary School in Middlesbrough seeking an experienced HLTA to support teaching across KS1 and KS2. You will deliver planned activities, assist class teachers and help pupils with varying learning needs.

The role is long-term, starting ASAP, full-time and on-site, with competitive daily pay of £100–£110. A recognised HLTA qualification and strong classroom management are essential to success.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Experience in a mainstream Primary School across KS1 and KS2.
• Solid understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's education.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Middlesbrough, who are looking to appoint a dedicated HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on a motivated HLTA on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful HLTA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2 classes, supporting teaching and learning, delivering planned activities and working alongside class teachers to ensure pupils receive the support they need.

Qualifications and Experience

• A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant qualification
• Experience working within a mainstream Primary School across KS1 and KS2
• A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• The ability to support pupils with varying learning abilities and needs
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's education
