Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking an experienced HLTA for a long-term placement in Newcastle. You will support pupils across KS1 and KS2, delivering planned activities and working closely with class teachers to ensure learners receive the required support.

The role starts ASAP and offers daily rates of £100-£110. The successful candidate will have a recognised HLTA qualification and strong classroom and behaviour management skills, contributing to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mainstream primary setting KS1/KS2
• Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a dedicated HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on a motivated HLTA on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful HLTA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2 classes, supporting teaching and learning, delivering planned activities and working alongside class teachers to ensure pupils receive the support they need.

The successful HLTA will have:

• A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant qualification

• Experience working within a mainstream Primary School across KS1 and KS2

• A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum

• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills

• The ability to support pupils with varying learning abilities and needs

• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's education
