Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support KS1 and KS2 pupils in Bradford. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, provide whole-class cover and lead targeted interventions, contributing to a positive classroom environment.

Ideal candidates hold an HLTA qualification or relevant experience, with at least 6 months in a primary setting and an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification/status or have relevant experience working at HLTA level.
• Have a minimum of 6 months' experience working in a primary school setting.
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Be confident supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Have strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Be proactive, adaptable and confident leading learning activities independently.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-planned lessons and providing whole-class cover in the absence of the class teacher.
• Supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 with their learning and development.
• Leading small group interventions and providing targeted support to pupils.
• Supporting children with SEND.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and following school policies.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and other school staff.
• Adapting to different school settings, routines and expectations.
• Supporting pupils in developing their confidence, independence and academic progress.

Job description

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £80 - 110 per day

We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive and reliable Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) who are confident supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2, delivering engaging learning activities and providing classroom cover when required.

The Successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant Will:
