Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an HLTA for a long-term role in a mainstream primary school in Middlesbrough. You will support learning across KS1 and KS2, deliver planned activities and work closely with class teachers to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.

The position offers daily pay of £100-£110 with ASAP start, ongoing CPD, and market-leading pay rates. A dedicated consultant team is available 24/7 to assist with onboarding and placements.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a mainstream primary setting across KS1/KS2 is essential.
• Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum is expected.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills are required.
• Ability to support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's education.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Middlesbrough, who are looking to appoint a dedicated HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on a motivated HLTA on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful HLTA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2 classes, supporting teaching and learning, delivering planned activities and working alongside class teachers to ensure pupils receive the support they need.

The successful HLTA will have:

• A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant qualification
• Experience working within a mainstream Primary School across KS1 and KS2
• A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• The ability to support pupils with varying learning abilities and needs
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's education
