Job summary

TeacherActive Limited seeks an experienced HLTA to support learning across KS1 and KS2 in a mainstream Primary School in Newcastle. The role involves delivering planned activities and working alongside class teachers to ensure pupils receive the support they need.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised HLTA qualification, have experience in a primary setting, and possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Immediate start available on a long-term basis.

• Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a dedicated HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on a motivated HLTA on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful HLTA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2 classes, supporting teaching and learning, delivering planned activities and working alongside class teachers to ensure pupils receive the support they need.

The successful HLTA will have:

A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant qualification

Experience working within a mainstream Primary School across KS1 and KS2

A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum

Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills

The ability to support pupils with varying learning abilities and needs

A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's education
