Job summary

Queen Mary University of London is seeking a Timetable Officer to produce the teaching timetable for designated Schools/Institutes, aligning student preferences with teaching capacity. You will work under Timetabling Managers and ensure timetables reflect staff availability and optimise use of teaching space.

You will develop in-depth knowledge of curriculum structures, apply timetabling software, and collaborate across Registry Services to support an excellent student experience.

Responsibilities

  • Produce the teaching timetable for designated Schools/Institutes, reflecting staff availability and teaching space constraints.
  • Coordinate with Timetabling Managers and Registry Services to optimise accommodation use and student experience.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of curriculum structures and timetabling requirements for areas of responsibility.
  • Utilise timetabling software (e.g., Scientia or Semestry) and apply analytical/problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts.
