Job summary

City St George’s, University of London is seeking a Timetabling Officer to manage and maintain teaching timetables across schools or programmes, ensuring accurate room utilisation and policy compliance.

You will be the main contact for timetable queries, collaborate with academic and professional staff, resolve scheduling conflicts, monitor data quality, and support service improvements while delivering a student‑focused timetabling service throughout the academic year.

Qualifications

  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a customer-focused administrative environment, with the ability to deliver a professional, responsive service.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, including prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Able to work independently, follow procedures consistently, and contribute positively to team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain teaching timetables for an allocated portfolio of schools or programmes.
  • Ensure accuracy, efficient room utilisation and compliance with university policies.
  • Act as the main contact for timetable-related queries.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and monitor timetable changes.
  • Support service improvements, contribute to team collaboration and training.
  • Ensure a student-focused, responsive timetabling service throughout the academic year.
