Job summary

Eden Global Associates seeks an experienced Site Engineer to join a major UK energy infrastructure project in the Scottish Highlands. The role focuses on supporting the delivery of high-voltage substation works and related civil, structural and electrical interfaces.

Based in the Scottish Highlands, you will coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with RAMS, drawings, permits and quality procedures as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or similar site-based construction role.
• Background in utilities, energy, power transmission or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating site teams and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, RAMS, permits and quality documentation.
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on HV substations, transmission infrastructure or similar civil works is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager and Project Engineer with planning, coordination and delivery of site activities.
• Coordinate site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
• Monitor daily progress, productivity and quality, identifying and reporting any issues.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, RAMS, permits and quality procedures.
• Carry out site inspections, quality checks and maintain accurate project records.
• Coordinate interfaces across civil, structural, electrical, overhead line and underground cable works.
• Promote a strong health, safety, environmental and quality culture across the project.
