Job summary

Randstad CPE is sourcing an experienced Design Manager for a high-profile substation development in Scotland. The role involves leading multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating with clients and supply chains, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and safety standards.

The successful candidate will integrate design programmes with procurement and cost plans while managing project data using ACC and ViewPoint.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in engineering, architecture, or construction project management.
• Professional membership or working toward CIOB/ICE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and supply chains through all project design stages.
• Ensure designs comply with statutory regulations, safety standards and project requirements.
• Integrate design programmes with procurement schedules, cost plans and construction methods to resolve buildability issues early.
• Manage project information using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and ViewPoint.
