Salary : £28.25 p / h

Hours : 4 on 4 off 05 : 00 to 16 : 00hrs

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking to step up into a supervisory role, or an established Workshop Supervisor seeking a new challenge in a fast-paced bus engineering environment? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK transport operator for a hands‑on Workshop Supervisor to oversee a busy engineering team within their bus garage.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic workshop, enjoys problem‑solving, and can balance technical responsibilities with team leadership.

Key Responsibilities of the HGV Workshop Supervisor
  • Lead, support, and motivate a team of HGV / PSV Technicians and Fitters within the workshop.
  • Carry out hands‑on maintenance, servicing, and repair of HGVs / PSVs as required.
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained to DVSA standards and operators licence requirements.
  • Allocate workloads, monitor productivity, and support technicians with technical queries.
  • Oversee defect management, vehicle diagnostics, and repair quality checks.
  • Maintain accurate workshop records and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Liaise with engineering management regarding fleet performance and maintenance planning.
