The position offers a salary from £48,000+ depending on experience, with Monday–Friday hours and ongoing opportunities for progression within a growing, modern workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a HGV/truck/trailer or commercial vehicle environment.
• Background as Workshop Controller, Workshop Supervisor or Senior Technician.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workloads and priorities.
• Good technical knowledge of commercial vehicles.
• Leadership experience or the ability to lead a team confidently.
• Customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily workshop activities.
• Allocate work effectively across the technician team.
• Monitor productivity and workshop efficiency.
• Liaise with customers regarding repairs, servicing and vehicle status.
• Ensure all jobs are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Support and motivate workshop staff.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and workshop procedures.
• Work closely with service, parts and management teams.
• Manage workshop administration and job progress.
• Maintain excellent customer satisfaction levels.

The Role

As Workshop Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop while supporting technicians and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

You’ll be trusted to keep the workshop productive, organised and profitable while ensuring jobs are completed safely and on time.
