JAM Recruitment Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a skilled HGV & Trailer Technician for a full-time, permanent role in a busy workshop. You will inspect and repair vehicles, prepare for MOT testing, and carry out welding and fabrication.

The role offers a salary up to £21.00 per hour depending on experience, with overtime paid at time and a half or double time. Shift patterns are 06:00-14:00 or 10:00-18:00, with alternate Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Time-served technician essential.
• HGV licence preferred (not essential).
• Experience with tail lifts and double-deck trailers preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent ideal.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with HGVs / trailers preferred.

Job description

The role of HGV & Trailer Technician is a full-time, permanent position based in Cardiff, offering a salary up to £21.00 per hour depending on experience. Overtime is readily available, paid at time and a half or double time. The working pattern is 06:00-14:00 or 10:00-18:00, with alternate Saturday mornings. Working from a busy commercial workshop, the successful candidate will carry out vehicle inspections and repairs, prepare vehicles for MOT testing, and perform welding and fabrication. The employer, established for over 19 years, provides workshop and mobile assistance for trucks and trailers. Applicants should possess strong diagnostic skills and relevant HGV technical experience. Salary: Up to £21.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience with plenty of overtime on offer (Overtime paid at time and half & double time)

Location: Cardiff.

Shift pattern: 06:00-14:00 10:00-18:00 (Saturday mornings every other week)
