Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a fully qualified HGV Technician to join the Cardiff-based service department of a leading franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership.

You will deliver high-quality service and repairs, perform diagnostics, and support colleagues in a fast-paced workshop, working a 4 days on, 4 days off shift from 6:30am to 6:30pm, with a starting rate of £20 per hour rising to £20.60 after probation.

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV maintenance and repair or equivalent.
• Post-qualification practical experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop.
• Live within Cardiff or close commuting distance.

We are seeking a fully qualified HGV Technician to join our client's reputable service department in Cardiff. This HGV Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals to develop their career within a leading franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership. The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining operational efficiency. This will be a fixed shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, working from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Duties of a HGV Technician:

• Perform all scheduled service maintenance and repairs to a high standard, within manufacturer time guidelines
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and resolve complex malfunctions
• Support team members with technical issues and share expertise to support workshop activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Document findings and actions taken during diagnostics and repairs
• Uphold professionalism in all customer interactions, enhancing customer retention and dealership reputation

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

• Live within Cardiff or a reasonable commuting distance
• Hold NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent as a minimum in HGV maintenance and repair
• Practical experience post-qualification is preferred
• Ability to produce quality workmanship in a fast-paced workshop environment
• Strong team player with a motivated, committed attitude
• Valid HGV driving license is advantageous but not essential
