Job summary

RH Commercial Vehicles in Northampton is seeking skilled HGV Technicians to join our workshop team. You'll service, maintain and repair a variety of trucks and vans, using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems, and work to DVSA and manufacturer standards.

We offer first-class training, OTE £50,000 with overtime, shifting patterns, and a range of benefits including a £1,500 tooling allowance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension and sick pay, and clear opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Commercial Vehicle Repair or equivalent.
• Experience working on commercial vehicles such as Trucks and Vans.
• Full driving licence and HGV licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently.
• Complete work to DVSA and manufacturer standards.
• Using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems.
• Supporting apprentices and wider team.
• Keeping up to date with technical developments and training.

Working within our modern, recently refurbished workshop environment, you’ll maintain a variety of trucks and vans while benefiting from ongoing manufacturer training, excellent earning potential and genuine opportunities to progress your career.

Shift Patterns

Minimum 40 hours a week, multiple shift pattern options available.

4 day week: option 11:30 – 22:00 or 10:00 – 20:30

• Alternating shifts:
• Early: Monday – Thursday: 06:00 – 15:30, Friday: 06:30 – 14:30
• Late: Monday – Thursday: 12:30 – 22:00, Friday: 12:30 – 21:00, Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00 (Saturday at overtime)

Nightshift: Monday – Thursday: 20:00 – 06:30 (£23 an hour)

Weekend shift: Friday – Sunday: 06:00 – 18:00 (£23 an hour)
