Job summary

Brian Currie Ltd in Biggleswade is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our workshop team. You will perform diagnostic work, repair defects, prepare vehicles for MOT, and carry out general maintenance on trucks, trailers and related equipment.

We offer full manufacturer training, opportunities for career progression and relocation support for eligible candidates. The role includes shift patterns and a supportive environment with on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification or proven experience repairing and maintaining vehicles (LCV/HGV).
• 2 or 3 NVQ level, IMI Level or City & Guilds.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
• Clear communication within the team and adherence to processes.
• HGV Class I would be a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic work on vehicles and trailers.
• Repair defects, perform maintenance and servicing.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with procedures.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a skilled HGV Technician to join our workshop team. The job will entail diagnostic work, defects, MOT preparation, general maintenance and servicing, made up of units & trailers.

Shift Patterns

• 4 on 4 off
• 18.00 – 06.00

What We're Looking for

• Technical Qualification or proven experience of repairing and maintaining vehicles LCV / HGV Technical / Mechanical Engineer qualifications, 2 or 3 NVQ level, IMI Level or City & Guilds.
• The ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions to problems and having the flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks are all key attributes.
• Ability to communicate effectively within your team and manage internal relationship to deliver required information in a timely clear manor.
• All works must be accurate and consistent adhering to all processes and procedures.
• HGV Class I would be a benefit.
