Perfect Placement UK Ltd. is seeking a Night Shift HGV Technician for a leading UK automotive dealer group in Andover, Hampshire. The role covers 45-hour weeks with a late shift from 22:00 to 07:30, Monday to Friday, offering a competitive hourly rate and extensive benefits.

The position requires IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and several years of relevant experience. Training and development opportunities are available within a large corporate group.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Several years of relevant experience beyond qualification preferred.
• Strong commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintenance of various HGVs across the client’s fleet.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults and repair.
• Perform warranty-approved work following brand specifications.
• Carry out MOT testing where qualified.
• Complete electronic job cards and write-ups via franchise platforms.
• Perform electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs).
• Support Apprentice Technicians as required.

Our client requires a skilled and experienced Night Shift HGV Technician to join their state-of-the‑art commercial vehicle dealership located in Andover, Hampshire. Duties of a Night Shift HGV Technician

• Conducting servicing and maintenance of various HGVs across the client’s fleet
• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults and executing repairs
• Performing warranty-approved work following brand specifications
• Carrying out Department of Transport (MOT) testing where qualified
• Completing electronic job cards and write-ups via franchise platforms
• Conducting electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs)
• Providing support and guidance to Apprentice Technicians as required
