Job summary

Brian Currie Ltd is seeking an Experienced HGV Technician in Milton Keynes. The role involves diagnostic work, addressing defects, MOT preparation, and general maintenance for a diverse fleet of units and trailers.

The candidate should have relevant technical qualifications or proven repair experience, and be able to work under pressure while communicating effectively with the team. HGV Class I would be a benefit.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification or proven experience repairing and maintaining LCV/HGV.
• NVQ Level, IMI Level or City & Guilds qualifications preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle a wide range of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic work, address defects, and service vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and perform general maintenance.
• Support a large customer base consisting of units and trailers.

Job description

Experienced HGV Technician. The job will entail diagnostic work, defects, MOT preparation, general maintenance and servicing of a large customer base, made up of units & trailers.

Shift Patterns

• Monday to Thurday 18.00 – 06.30
• Tuesday to Friday 18.00 – 06.30

What We're Looking For

• Technical Qualification or proven experience of repairing and maintaining vehicles LCV / HGV Technical / Mechanical Engineer qualifications, 2 or 3 NVQ level, IMI Level or City & Guilds.
• The ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions to problems and having the flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks are all key attributes.
• Ability to communicate effectively within your team and manage internal relationship to deliver required information in a timely clear manor.
• All works must be accurate and consistent adhering to all processes and procedures.
• HGV Class I would be a benefit.
