Perfect Placement is recruiting a Night Shift HGV Technician for a leading UK automotive dealer group in Andover, Hampshire. The role offers a competitive hourly rate, long-term career prospects and a progressive, safety‑conscious environment.

The successful candidate will service and repair a fleet of HGVs, diagnose faults, perform warranty work, and support junior technicians within a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
• Several years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong commitment to high‑quality workmanship and safety.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintenance of various HGVs across the client’s fleet.
• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults and executing repairs.
• Performing warranty‑approved work following brand specifications.
• Carrying out Department of Transport (MOT) testing where qualified.
• Completing electronic job cards and write‑ups via franchise platforms.
• Conducting electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs).
• Providing support and guidance to Apprentice Technicians as required.

Our client requires a skilled and experienced Night Shift HGV Technician to join their state-of-the-art commercial vehicle dealership located in Andover, Hampshire.
