Job summary

ASI Recruitment Ltd seeks an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy workshop in the UK. You will maintain and repair fleet vehicles, carry out road tests, and prepare vehicles for MOT inspections using modern diagnostic equipment.

The role requires Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent, strong problem-solving skills, and teamwork. Salary £42,500–£50,000 DOE with industry training and an established workshop team.

Qualifications

• High level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repair.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer care skills.
• Ability to work within guidelines and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles.
• Carrying out road tests.
• Performing emergency road repairs.
• Routine maintenance to VOSA standards.
• Diagnosing vehicles with computer-based equipment.
• Carry out scheduled fleet maintenance tasks.
• Preparation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections.
• Re-chassis work and light fabrication.
