Job summary

Tru Talent is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join a professional workshop team, maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles. You'll ensure vehicles are safe, reliable and roadworthy, with access to ongoing training and development.

Role responsibilities include servicing, maintenance, repairs on HGVs, diagnosing faults with modern diagnostic equipment, MOT preparation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding ability.
• Good attention to detail and quality focus.
• Full UK driving licence.
• HGV licence desirable.
• Experience in a dealership or fleet environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and inspection work.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and health and safety standards.
• Complete accurate job cards and service documentation.
• Work effectively as part of a workshop team.
• Respond to call outs when on rota.
