Perfect Placement UK Ltd. is recruiting on behalf of a reputable Southampton business for an experienced HGV Technician to join its busy workshop. You will perform safety inspections, servicing and repairs on rigid and articulated vehicles, including trailers, with a focus on quality workmanship.

The role offers a Monday to Friday schedule (7:00 am–4:00 pm) in a fully equipped workshop, with overtime available on breakdowns and opportunities for professional development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV technician with Volvo/Scania/DAF knowledge.
• Level 3 qualification preferred.
• Full UK driving licence; HGV Class 1 preferred.

Responsabilités

• Carry out safety inspections, MOT prep, servicing and repairs.

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable company in Southampton seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join its busy workshop. Duties

• The successful HGV Technician will carry out safety inspections, MOT preparation, servicing and repairs.
• This HGV Technician position involves working on rigid and articulated vehicles, curtain siders and skelly trailers.
• Complete brake testing, welding, fabrication and diagnostic work across a range of HGV and trailer equipment.
• Use modern workshop equipment to support effective maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, company policies and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Applicants for the HGV Technician role should have proven experience and ideally hold a Level 3 qualification.
• Experience working on Volvo, Scania and DAF vehicles is highly advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence is essential; HGV Class 1 is preferred.
• A qualified HGV Technician should be confident with welding, fabrication, brake testing and diagnostics.
• Individuals must be reliable, proactive and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime and attend occasional breakdown call-outs is required.
• Individuals from a car or related industry background will also be considered, with appropriate pay adjustments.
