Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Cheltenham is seeking an HGV Technician (Class 2) to join a stable, growth‑minded team. You will prepare and present vehicles for MOTs, carry out inspections and perform reactive and planned maintenance, including breakdown response.

The role offers a £40,000-£43,000 base, overtime to boost earnings, flexitime, paid breaks and a clear progression path, with Monday to Friday 8:00am–5:00pm and paid breaks.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV technician.
• Proficiency in MOT preparation and vehicle inspections.
• Experience with reactive and planned maintenance.
• Flexitime availability is preferred.

Are you an HGV technician, looking to join a thriving company offering a stable and secure position where you will be looked after with flexible hours and ample overtime paid at a premium rate to significantly boost your earnings?

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting vehicles for MOTs, carrying out vehicle inspections, completing reactive and planned maintenance, and responding to vehicle breakdowns.

Established in 1985, this company are looking to grow their workforce by 10% within the next year. They specialise in in commercial vehicle hire and logistic services providing into several industries such as recycling and sales.

This role would suit an HGV Technician looking for the chance to work plenty of optional overtime and flexible hours to give you a great work life balance.

The Role:

• MOT preparation/ presentation and responding to breakdowns
• Conducting vehicle inspections
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Paid breaks
• Optional Overtime, paid at 1.5x
