Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to service, repair and maintain their HGV fleet. You will diagnose faults, perform brake and diagnostic testing, and ensure vehicles remain safe and compliant.

The role requires a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification, ownership of personal tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. On-site work with optional overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic.
• Strong mechanical knowledge on servicing, maintenance and fault finding for HGVs.
• Experience with diagnostic testing and brake testing is essential.
• Own tools required (standard personal tools; larger equipment provided).
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs (mechanical and electrical).
• Diagnosing faults and completing effective repairs.
• Conducting 6-weekly inspections.
• Brake testing and diagnostic testing (experience essential).
• MOT preparation.
• Ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and roadworthy.
• Maintaining accurate service records and completing PMI paperwork.

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (Saturday overtime optional)
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs (mechanical and electrical)
